What this llms.txt generator and validator checks
Basic file structure
Requires a site title as H1. A blockquote summary, H2 sections, and useful links are recommendations, not universal requirements.
Human-readable links
Accepts ordinary Markdown information bullets and recognizes links such as - [Documentation](https://example.com/docs): setup notes, including the optional explanation after the URL.
Create and validate
The preview updates as you type. Create and Validate then check the current content on the server.
Build the file, then check it
Draft
Name the site, write a brief description, and group the few destinations a reader actually needs. Do not turn the file into a second sitemap.
Validate
Review required errors separately from advisory warnings. Fix broken URLs or headings first, then decide whether optional organization helps your readers.
Verify
Copy or download the submitted output, publish it at the expected location, and validate the published text again after meaningful edits.
What llms.txt cannot promise
- This checker cannot tell you whether a provider reads the file; it reports the structure and links that were submitted here.
- Only the H1 is required by this validator. Summary, H2 sections, and links are useful recommendations, not a promise of provider support.
- The preview is produced in the browser. Create and Validate check the submitted content on the server.
llms.txt questions
Is a summary or H2 section mandatory?
No. A clear H1 is the required structural anchor here. A blockquote summary, sections, and links may improve readability and receive warnings when absent.
Can a link bullet include a note after the URL?
Yes. A Markdown link may be followed by a colon and optional details, while ordinary non-link bullets are left as information rather than reported as broken links.
Will llms.txt make my pages rank or get cited?
There is no such guarantee. Treat the file as a community documentation hint and keep the canonical pages useful and accessible on their own.
